Hey Guys. Don't be too discouraged over you exam marks ok? Those who fail badly, don't give up. Work harder and you will see a different marks at the end of the year. This is our streaming year. We have to give our best shot ok? Term 1 & 2 is gone like this. Sooner or later, it will be the end of the year. And sec 3, some might still be in the same class some might not.

Regarding the class t-shirt. I think Zainul collected from these people only: Fahimah, Noriziani, Amzar, Jefferson, Raxton, Aloysius, Joel and Zainul. Your money is still with Zainul. ATTENTION!!!...school re-opens this coming tuesday..be prepared..we r getting back all our results...for next week..i already ask mr ng..he said that there will be a special timetable that will be given out next week so just bring yourself to school and at least stationarys la..come on..we will all be checking papers so we have to do corrections..haha

ATTENTION EVERYONE!!!...Mr Ng had gone for a operation that is scheduled tomorrow....
which means our teacher's day plan cannot be carried out...but we will still carry out for ms teo...and maybe when school re-opens in term 4...than we celebrate for mr ng...

Everyone..please pray for Mr Ng's Successful Operation and a speedy recovery...he will not be with us until next term...so ms teo will be taking us this few days...

Teacher's day celebration

Hey guys...the blog has been edited..i have added the teachers who taught us and the remaining classmates that are left out...the question mark refers that we still do not know any information..so let us know as soon as possible about the missing information so that we can edit it...

Anyway...next week is teacher's day and the councilors wants us to give a surprise to our form teacher and co-form teacher...we have to decide what to bring and food&drinks to prepare...as we will be going to Bishan park...if it rains...we will be in school..but we have to find a spot to celebrate and the surprise for mr ng and ms teo will still carry out...so if you all got anything to contribute...please let me or sally know...so that we can inform the councilors next monday...

Oh Ya!!...please do not tell mr ng or ms teo about the surprise...the teachers still do not know about the surprise...remember KEEP IT AS A SECRET!!!

Some of you may have slow internet connection problem. So lets start here.

If you think that you don't need to read this post, just scroll down All the way to read the Previous Post.

*First and foremost, get rid of Internet Explorer. Its the worst, slowest and most insecure I (SSGupta) have come across. That leaves with us, the other two browser kings, Opera and Firefox. We are recommending that you switch to Firefox because of its large number of add-ons and its very flexible properties. Firefox can be download here(http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/)

*Now, after you get your copy of Firefox, you will need an add-on known as Fasterfox. (I am sure that many of you know that configuring via "about:config" is better, but, for most users, its tedious. Therefore, more on that later.Fasterfox can be downloaded here(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1269). After Fasterfox downloads and installs, then, let it configure itself.

*Now, the next add-ons we are talking about are the best add-ons ever. (They were reason enough for me to switch to Firefox from IE7 and Opera9).Now, we are talking about an add on called NoScript. This prevents Scripts from running (This includes Flash Scripts, Java Scripts,Website Scripts and executable contents).NoScript can be downloaded here(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722).NoScript has been tested by industry experts and all agree to the fact that it makes browsing safer.

About NoScript add-on:
You will see for certain sites, you wont be able to browse properly using NoScript. (EG: Orkuts Scrap Reply function wont work). Now,for such sites, click on the No Script icon. You will see a list of sites whose scripts are blocked.You will have to allow the scripts of the site. (EG: In Orkut, Scripts from Orkut.com and Google-Analytics.com are blocked. Now, we know that Google-Analytics are responsible for ads, but, orkut isnt. So, you will have to allow scripts from Orkut, but, not from Google Analytics). This principle applies to all websites.

To conclude NoScript, if you see that its hindering your browsing experience, click on options and click "Temporary Allow". Its the best possible solution to all problems.

A word of caution here, although NoScript is a great Add-On, sometimes, it blocks desirable scripts also. Therefore, on some sites, you will have to allow some sites if you wants to see the unblocks scripts.

*The final add-on to make your browsing experience the best ever is Ad-Block Plus. It will block all Flash Ads, Banners, everything. You have the option to subscribe to sites which regularly update "Ad-URLs". And, you can also manually block an image by right clicking on it and selecting "Adblock Image".

The automated add-ons listed above are good enough to improve ones browsing experience. However, Power users would like to squeeze out every bit of bandwidth (speed) possible from their internet connections. So, read on to tweak firefox so that it suits your computer type and connection the best.

Firstly, disconnect from the internet. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar.This will open the config page at Firefox.

Fast Computer, Slower Connection

This configuration is more suited to people without ultra fast connections. We are not talking about dial up connections but slower DSL / Cable connections.
